A shipowner based in the north-west german ems region recently decided to order HASYTEC DBP for 5 of its vessels. The installation took place in the area of the vessels cooling systems. There, the box coolers were fitted with transducers to protect them from biofilm and marine growth. Box coolers are used on board of a vessel to cool the main engines, auxiliary engines, bow thrusters and hydraulic systems. A fully efficient box cooler thus ensures the operational safety of a vessel. Due to the travel restrictions that have existed since Q1 / 2020, the ship’s crews carried out the installations themselves according to the detailed installation instructions from HASYTEC.
